Travel services
On request, we handle international and domestic travel arrangements for people whose stays in France or missions abroad come under our management. Arrangements typically involve:
- Return trip from country of origin
- Transfers between airport and accommodation
- Intermediate journeys
All travel services are handled by a specialist team of travel agents at our partner organization, American Express Voyages d'Affaires.
Best rates
Because of the large volumes we handle, with travel to or from 150 different countries, we can negotiate preferential rates directly with the airline companies. And we can recommend the lowest prices, if the conditions are acceptable to the traveller.
Remote ticket issue
With our partner, we have extensive expertise in issuing tickets for incoming trips. And with the increasing use of e-tickets, we can issue tickets very fast.
Personalized reception services
- Automated round-the-clock service
Our all-inclusive services include standardized reception for foreign students, interns and researchers coming to France for the first time, with transfer from the airport or station of arrival through to the Égide office or interim accommodation, even for non-planned arrivals. This service is available round-the-clock, every day of the year.
- Custom reception services
We also offer personalized reception, with custom services adapted to the profile of the visitor, or group of visitors.
As well as being customized to the visitor’s status, reception services can also be matched to other criteria:
- Age
- Nationality
- Command of French
- Familiarity with international travel
- Handicap
- Group size (requiring coach, etc.)
With our premier reception service, visitors are met at the airport or station of arrival (after customs clearance), accompanied to the airport exchange office to pick up their grant or allowance, then driven to the Égide office or their accommodation.
F or high-status visitors, we can offer a chauffeur with interpreter or assistant during their stay.
And for VIPs we can arrange pick-up directly off the airplane gangplank, with reception in the airport VIP lounge.
In 2008, Égide issued 20,000 air travel tickets (98% for international journeys) worth a total of €18.1 million.
