In 2008, Égide provided assistance on 1,000 applications to préfectures.
In 2008, Égide processed 700 visa applications for expert missions abroad.

Through partnerships with préfectures in France and specialist service providers elsewhere, Égide provides assistance on administrative procedures for foreign visitors to France and for French experts and students abroad. Assistance includes full information on rights and responsibilities, plus active support to simplify procedures with relevant administrations (préfectures in France and foreign consular services abroad).

Visas for France

Where applicable, Égide provides French consulates abroad with the information they need on people visiting France: minimum resources, health insurance cover, purpose of visit. Visitors do, however, have to apply in person to the French consulate for visas to enter France.

Residence permits

Égide provides assistance on obtaining and renewing residence permits for students and scientists visiting France, through special agreements with certain préfectures. Visitors fill in their application forms at the Égide office, then Égide submits the application to the préfecture, which makes an appointment with the applicant. This means visitors make a single journey to pick up their residence permit.

Visas for abroad

Égide takes full charge of all the procedures involved in applying for visas for French experts on missions abroad. Applicants receive their passports with visas by mail, without needing to go to the consulate in person. Égide holds vast experience in this matter and is thoroughly familiar with the rules and requirements of consular authorities.

Expertise and advice

By keeping a close watch on regulations, Égide can provide valuable advice before, during and after a visit. It can intervene promptly if the wrong kind of visa is issued, and provide effective sideline assistance in difficult situations (with border control, for example).
