Égide harnesses extensive experience and proven professional capabilities to offer a full range of services for clients organizing international research exchanges, relieving the client of these organizational and management tasks.
Travel and reception
We take charge of researchers’ inbound and outbound journeys from their country of origin through to their destination. A standard reception service provides transfer from arrival, round-the-clock, every day of the year.
Accommodation
Égide works with a network of around 2,000 accommodation providers to offer researchers on our clients’ programmes short- and long-stay accommodation at the best possible rates.
Administrative procedures
Égide helps foreign researchers in France and French researchers abroad in their applications to obtain the necessary visas and residence permits, and provides assistance in dealing with the relevant administrations.
Health and special insurance
Égide provides a special health insurance scheme covering accident and sickness risks during the researcher’s stay in France.
Monthly grant and allowance payments
We take charge of paying grants and allowances, in cash (at our Paris head office), by cashable bank or postal cheque, or by bank transfer (for people outside France).
Custom programme organization *
In addition to the usual travel and reception services, Égide can also take charge of researchers’ journeys in France and abroad, during their stay. We welcome clients’ enquires on special programme requirements.
Cultural and leisure activities *
Égide puts on cultural activities to help researchers on its clients’ programmes settle in to life in France and meet others in similar situations. The cultural activities programme includes French heritage tours, visits to different French regions, sports, etc.
