    * Diversity in talent, for moving ahead

Label Diversité On Monday April 19, 2010, Bernard Kouchner, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, was the guest of Egide, leading French operator in international mobility, to celebrate the Diversity Label that has just been awarded by AFNOR.

Egide has always been sensible to the notion of diversity through its social approach, and has wished to formalize its commitment by signing the Diversity Charter in June 2009, and by achieving the Diversity Label.

In signing the Corporate Diversity Charter on 24 June 2009, Égide formally confirmed its commitment to promote diversity and non-discrimination.

Workforce diversity holds considerable importance for Égide, as a way for developing complementary skills and talents, for achieving a close match to its business environment and society at large, and for stimulating true understanding and satisfaction among its clients and partners.

By taking up a diversity-oriented approach in personnel management, Égide is also seeking firm control over business developments and heightened efficiency against today’s backdrop of wide-reaching change.

Égide management is committed to promoting equal opportunity and equal treatment among all its personnel, in strict compliance with individual rights.

Personnel selection, recruitment, induction and career advancement will proceed with no regard to: origin; culture; gender; background; sexual orientation; age; family situation; membership or non-membership (actual or supposed) or an ethnic group, nation or race; political opinion; trade union activity; religious conviction; physical appearance; name; health; or handicap.

To push ahead in its diversity initiative, Égide has also undertaken a diversity label-award programme.

A project group has been set up, and all personnel given an opportunity to express themselves on diversity-related matters.

Education and training measures on diversity and non-discrimination have been run, addressing managers and employees.

Agreements on diversity and on employment for seniors were signed with the unions on November 10th 2009.

Ongoing implementation of the diversity policy will cover operations on induction of disable personnel, intergenerational diversity, equal opportunity for men and women, and diversity of origins within the company.

Égide considers diversity in talents to be an important development factor for forward-looking companies in the 21st century.
