Why did you first get in touch with Égide?
We called on Égide to manage the thesis and scientific exchange grants awarded by IRD to PhD students and scientists. There are around 150 grants per year in all.
Why did you choose Égide?
With its extensive expertise and resources, Égide is ideally placed for tackling the complex health insurance issues that arise for many of our grantholders. Then some of the journeys involved are between southern-hemisphere countries, and Égide has good worldwide coverage, with an extensive network of partners and a good capacity for handling diverse situations.
How would you describe business relations with Égide?
Égide provides an efficient and flexible interface between us and our grantholders. We send Égide our instructions, and Égide keeps us informed throughout the process. When Égide reorganized in 2006, we were assigned a special IRD correspondent, with whom we liaise on a practically everyday basis.
What are the advantages of working with Égide?
Now that we have our own correspondent with Égide, processing is even more efficient. Special requests are accommodated very promptly. If a problem arises, we know we have direct access to someone who will sort it out quickly and efficiently. The arrangement suits us just fine.
