Haiti reconstruction credits
In the framework of the reconstruction in favor of Haiti, credits have been opened in favor of this country. Among the actions envisaged it is planned to entrust Egide with the setting up of grants and exchange of expertise. The first operation consist in the setting up of 234 airplane tickets for the students hosted in French universities.

New Total scholarship student contingent
Total entrusts to Egide the organization and the management of the sojourn of 21 students coming from the oil producing countries. They will undergo, as from September, a one year training in engineers schools of business and Management, in Paris, Nantes and Nancy.
« Jules Verne » Program
In the framework of the Jules Verne Program, the Day of the new teachers leaving for abroad in 2010-2011 have been organized by the secretariat general of the Directorate of the European and International Relations and of cooperation (DREIC) of the Ministry of National Education. This day have been held July 8 in Paris at the Home of Secondary Schoolgirls, Center of International Studies.
The DREIC have entrusted to Egide’s events Unit the logistic organization of this day and the management of the teachers leaving.

From July 3rd to 16th, Egide will be organizing the visit of 4 Laotian guests. They will meet their French counterparts in order to gain knowledge of different managerial aspects regarding urban, landscape and monumental heritage : preservation, restoration, protection, prospecting.
“Let’s go to France” operation
Egide will be processing and issuing air tickets for senior high school students who will take part to this operation aimed at rewarding every year the best French-speaking pupils and students. They are offered a visit to France on a specific theme. The 2010 program will bring together 170 youngsters who will focus on the theme “Tradition and innovation: the spectacle of the everyday”, from July 7th to 17th.

Scientific cooperation with Algeria
Ifremer has entrusted Egide with the management and welcome of Algerian scientists in France (guests and interns), as part of the SPIRAL project. This project, which is aimed at drawing the seafloor mapping of Northern Algeria, is conducted in partnership with the CRAG (research center in astronomy, astrophysics and geophysics), the Sonatrach and the General Directorate for scientific research and technological development.

Operation « Nuclear Jordan »
A delegation of 7 jordanians will be present in France from next june 13th to 19th, within the framework of an operation cofinanced by the MAEE and Areva.
The guests are minister’s counselors, university directors or deans in Jordan. Meetings are foreseen, among others, with the CEA, the MSR, the MAEE, Areva, GDF-Suez and Academic people, so as to think about the nuclear issue and the formation of ingeneers proposed in France in this field.
Two trips to the province are foreseen : in Cherbourg(visit of the la Hague’s site) and in Aix en Provence.

The Institut universitaire de France (IUF) organizes two sessions to elect its members in June and July 2010.
The junior and senior members are selected by two different panels, partially renewed every year, and including foreign members.
- the first one: a junior panel – 50 people – from June 28 to 30, 2010
- the second one: a senior panel – 50 people – from July 5 to 7, 2010
Visit of 30 deans from Brazilian universities from May 25th to 29th, 2010
From May 25th to 29th, 2010, Egide is in charge of the visit of a delegation of Brazilian deans, on the request of the Service for Cooperation and Cultural Action (SCAC) in Sao Paulo and Campus France Brazil. They will be received at Sciences Po, Paris Dauphine university, and at the CIUP-CROUS. They will also be received at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
Extraordinary meeting of the CEDAW committee
Within the framework of the extraordinary meeting of the CEDAW committee (Committee of the Convention on the elimination of discrimination against women) that took place in Paris on May 20th and 21st, the Directions of the United Nations, International Organizations, Human Rights and Francophone department of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs have entrusted Egide with the processing and issuing of air tickets for about twenty guests coming from all parts of the world.
France/Russia cross year : conferences about environment and climate taking place in Siberia from May 16th to 23rd
A series of conferences about environment and climate, presented by high-level French researchers, is organized in Siberia – Russia from May 16th to 23rd.
Upon the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, this series of conferences takes place within the framework of the France/Russia cross year, in partnership with three major Siberian universities and Novossibirsk, Tomsk state universities. Egide is supplying travel services to the French lecturers/researchers coming from the CEA, INRA, Paris 6 university, Saint Quentin-Versailles university, and ENS in Lyon.

As part of the Cannes Festival and on the occasion of the Directors’ Fortnight that will open with the screening of a feature-length documentary about the Congolese band “Staff Benda Bilili”, and with the inauguration of the French pavilion “musique du monde”, Egide is organizing the visit of the Minister of Culture and Arts of the Democratic Republic of Congo to Paris and Cannes from May 12th to16th.

National Conference about security issues in schools at the Sorbonne, Paris
The participants to the National Conference about security issues in Schools have been convened on April 7th and 8th ,2010,upon request of Luc Chatel, Minister of National Education and spokesperson for the government.
This conference has gathered a broad spectrum of partners of the education community: ministers, elected people, executives and experts of the national education system, inspectors, principals, associated entities or representatives of the teaching staff, parents and students.
The national conference about security issues in schools has been prepared under the guidance of a scientific panel chaired by Eric Debarbieux. This scientific council was made up of French and international researchers and experts.
The Egide Events Department has organized the transportation, welcome and accommodation services for the foreign and French members of the scientific council.
During two days, 600 participants have attended the plenary sessions, round-table talks, and workshops. The results of the workshops have been summarized in the plenary session on Thursday the 8th of April of 2010.
Luc Chatel is going to set up a steering committee to prepare, follow up and assess the implementation of five orientations to counter violence in schools.
